She studied graphic design at the Sandberg Instituut and was a resident at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten (Amsterdam). As a leading figure in the &#8216;post-internet&#8217; art movement, her work has been exhibited in numerous institutions around the world: Fries Museum, Leeuwarden, MGK Siegen (2023); Migros Museum (Z\u00fcrich) and Sharjah Art Foundation in 2020; Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin (Preis der Nationalgalerie, nomination 2019); Whitechapel Gallery (London, 2018); Palais de Tokyo (Paris, 2018 and 2017); K11 Foundation (Shanghai, 2017); Kunstverein Hamburg, Museum Folkwang, Essen (Nam June Paik Award), 9<sup>th<\/sup> Berlin Biennale, Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (Beijing) in 2016; MoMA (New York),13<sup>th<\/sup> Lyon Biennale, Kunsthalle Lissabon in 2015&#8230; In 2017, she represented Estonia at the 57<sup>th<\/sup> Venice Biennale. Katja Novitskova studies the ongoing ecological transformations of natural and technological processes in today&#8217;s world, and develops a personal approach to interpreting their complex forms. Her work includes sculptures, installations and artist publications.
